I am originally from Potter County, which is in northern Pennsylvania. I have never met my father. Growing up, I have lived in many places, including New York, North Carolina, California, and many places in Pennsylvania. My experiences as a child have allowed me to see many places and meet many people. I feel that I have a very personal understanding of many of the students I have the fortune of teaching.

I graduated from Shippensburg Area Senior High School in 1997. I received my Bachelor of Science in Education from Shippensburg University in 2003, and I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Technology in Education through Jones International University.

I taught 7th grade English at James Buchanan Middle School for one year. Following that, I taught 4th grade in Shippensburg for six years. I am now teaching 6th grade Science in Carlisle. I also coach high school football. In my spare time, I enjoy editing photos and videos.

My wife, Casey, and I have been married since 2006. Our son, Cooper, was born in May of 2009, and we are expecting our second child in April.
